A417 Missing Link Integrated Highway Network

In recognition of the high environmental quality of the Cotswolds AONB, the Missing Link is a landscape-led highway improvement scheme that will deliver a safe and resilient free-flowing road while conserving and enhancing the specialist character of the Cotswolds AONB; reconnecting landscape and ecology; bringing about landscape, wildlife and heritage benefits, including enhanced visitors’ enjoyment of the area; improving local communities’ quality of life; and contributing to the health of the economy and local businesses. Working in collaboration with stakeholders is critical to the successful development and has resulted in beneficial outcomes which align with the vision of the scheme.
