Entrant's Summary: The natural environment was at the forefront of the development from the earliest stages of the design process. The development is centered around the restoration of 34 acres of semi-natural parkland, ‘The Ride’, which was originally a stretch of landscaped green space created in the 1800’s when an avenue of Lime trees was planted in Wycombe Abbey Park . This has been transformed having previously been inaccessible to the public in recent years. The wider development incorporates a further 6 acres of open space including ecological corridors to thoughtfully connect the natural environment in the Ride to the nearby Ancient Woodland.
