Beam Park

Entrant's Summary: The new 4,000-home masterplan for Beam Park is the culmination of a significant collaboration between developer Countryside Partnerships and housing association L&Q, in partnership with the Mayor of London, Barking and Dagenham and Havering Councils. Through this partnership, housing delivery will be accelerated, and housing capacity optimised, on a large, complex and constrained brownfield site. This new hybrid masterplan, consented in 2023, allows for the delivery approximately 4,000 homes, of which 50% will be affordable, across the 72-acre derelict site of a former Ford factory, while at the same time increasing the amount of open, green space being created.
