Executive summary from entrant:

North of Oxford, surrounding and including the Begbroke Science Park, we have planned a contemporary village that deliberately combines homes and employment space, local residents and university researchers. The concept is without global precedent as a new-build proposition in a ‘peri-urban’ location. Begbroke will be guided by the long-term stewardship of one of the world’s oldest universities and one of the UK’s biggest pension fund/asset managers. The plan incorporates 1,800 new homes, living streets, four parklands, a layout built around green arteries, which control the natural flow of water around the site, all arranged around a Grade II-listed Jacobean farmstead.
