Broadwater Primary School

Entrant's Summary: This development involves the retention and sensitive conversion of the existing Junior School building and the construction of a new purpose-built building for the proposed special educational needs school students. The new contemporary building will replace the existing Lower Years building and be incorporated into the Junior School’s existing structure through a new glass façade and structure, retaining many of the original features. The new school will offer 3,500sqm of floorspace, and it will accommodate around 200 students and 160 staff members. The school also involves a new community café which will operate from the main entrance on Broadwater Road.
