Carpenters Estate Masterplan is one of London’s largest and most ambitious estate regeneration schemes. The Estate is located next to Stratford Station and Stratford Town Centre in the London Borough of Newham, and on the fringe of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. This is a resident-led masterplan for up to 2,022 new and replacement homes including 50% affordable housing and provides a precedent for regeneration that puts people at the heart of the proposals. The Masterplan has been brought forward by Newham Council’s wholly owned development company, Populo Living, and received unanimous approval at LLDC’s Planning Committee in February 2024.
