Delivering Net Zero Study

Haringey Council

Entrant's Summary: The Delivering Net Zero study is an innovative collaboration, led by Haringey Council, involving 18 London boroughs and a multidisciplinary team of five sustainability focused consultancies. The project aims to deliver ambitious planning policies that minimise carbon emissions generated by new buildings when they are in use, addressing the ‘performance gap’ so that policy requirements are delivered on site. The programme pooled resources and skills across its participants to enable extensive cost and energy modelling of building archetypes, providing robust technical evidence to justify setting higher net zero carbon standards in planning policy and reviewing offsetting approaches.
