The Planning Service supported Naked House, a small start-up community builder and facilitated the delivery of 22 x low carbon, innovative affordable homes in challenging brownfield sites by proactively leading the planning process, pursuing a flexible planning approach and unblocking viability issues.

The pioneering Naked Home model allows people to fully customise their home and extend to meet a family's changing needs. Through cross-cutting collaboration among the applicant, Planning Service, members and the communities, the affordable housing schemes would contribute to more inclusive communities and enhance the environment with new green infrastructure and communal spaces for existing and future residents.
