Flintshire Local Development Plan 2015 – 2030 Flintshire County Council and Arcadis

The Adopted Flintshire LDP provides opportunity for 7870 dwellings, meeting a requirement of 6,950. Arcadis demonstrated, in the HRA that NbS mitigation could be provided for the LDP alone and in combination with other plans (from Wrexham). Without this work, no residential development within the catchment would have been possible. Our liaison with DCWW and other stakeholders capitalises on opportunities to remove wider phosphate pressures, delivering an overall environmental net gain. These NbS will not only enable the delivery of housing opportunities but will also improve quality of life for all while delivering biodiversity benefits, climate resilience and adaptation.
