Good Growth for Angel Edmonton

Angel Edmonton is currently among the 10 per cent most deprived areas in England in terms of crime and poverty. The Good Growth for Angel Edmonton project has created a mix of new cultural and community spaces, engaging residents and driving regeneration. Four main interventions were designed in consultation with local people: the renovation of Edmonton library; a street art gallery; a school street initiative; and Angel Yard, which turned two garage yards into community areas and entrepreneurial spaces for young people. The judges said this “stand out” project “places people at the heart of it”.
