Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme (HARP) Pre-application Consultation Programme

This award entry is for pre-application consultation on the Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme (HARP) – United Utilities’ largest ever public engagement. It deserves an award because of the scale of the consultation and the speed with which BECG had to respond to COVID-19 lockdown and social distancing requirements.

Between March and July 2020 a digital consultation platform was developed, including 5 virtual exhibitions, videos, interactive maps and online survey; making information about the project accessible to a wide audience and helping to facilitate engagement from respondents.

The consultation reached 82,486 people, was visited 12,539 times and received 2,355 consultation responses.
