Entrant's Summary: What we did is take a fresh approach to local plan engagement. Public confidence in local plans was at rock bottom. To rebuild trust and rehabilitate our work, we spoke with a new voice. Our interactive website made it simple to understand our proposals and easy to respond. No complex forms, just clicks. No jargon, just explainers, videos, infographics, interactive maps. We took the message out to people by holding local plan exhibitions in coffee shops. We visited school classrooms and invited communities we’d traditionally failed to reach to a community event. We got great feedback and exceeded expectations.
