In April 2020, Lichfields launched a unique online resource to help those involved in planning navigate the early months of COVID-19 lockdown, when rapid changes to working practices were needed to keep the planning system moving. The free-to-access website Business as (un)usual - included, as its centrepiece, an interactive GIS map and survey, tracking how Local Planning Authorities (LPAs) across England, Wales and Scotland were delivering planning functions in response to the restrictions on normal life. We partnered with PAS to support data gathering. By its close, 95% of all Councils were included and it was accessed over 14,000 times.
