Executive summary from entrant:

Following the Grenfell Tower tragedy, the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and central government are working in partnership with residents to create a model social housing estate for the 21st century, where residents can live in comfort in the UK’s largest eco-neighbourhood. Central to this is the development of a renewable heat network which, with the help of Arup, was granted planning permission in 2024 and is currently under construction. Developed through an extensive community co-design process, the network has been creatively designed as a visually unique local landmark that represents the neighbourhood’s renewable future and cultural richness.
