Preventing Suicides in High Rise Buildings and Structures Planning Advice Note (PAN)

The PAN is an important document which will assist in preventing suicide attempts from high rise buildings and structures in the City of London and minimise the impact and consequences of suicide on the City’s communities.

The PAN deserves an award in recognition of its practical guidance for developers during the planning application stage, and for building owners and managers post completion and beyond. There is currently little information available on suicide prevention from a design perspective produced by local authorities in London.
