Ealing Council has taken a pioneering approach to spiralling housing demand by setting up its own development company, Broadway Living, to provide the skills needed to deliver homes of different types and tenures. Broadway Living brings together specialist consultants across every aspect of housebuilding who work alongside their Ealing Council partners. Profits from home sales are reinvested in affordable housing; such has been the success of the first project, Copley W7, Ealing Council is investing 390m in Broadway Living to build 1,500 homes over the next six years.

An exemplar for other councils, the partnership is transforming housing supply.
