ROMAN FIELDS, TWECHAR

Roman Fields is one of the first neighbourhoods to ever deliver the principles of 'Designing Streets', it's formed part of a case study by the Scottish Government which identified this development as a 'model of excellence' in terms of implementing Designing Streets principles and sustainable placemaking. Twechar is a diverse and flexible range of housing which has helped attract many new residents from a broad mix of social and economic backgrounds - people previously excluded from the housing market. The development is also making an impact thanks to its role in increasing the number of economically active residents through employment initiatives.
