SNOWDONIA VISUAL IMPACT PROVISION (VIP)

The Snowdonia VIP project is unique in the transformational environmental and social impact it will have on the landscape of the Dwyryd Estuary in Snowdonia and the communities of Penrhundeudraeth, Talsarnau and Minffordd.

It is complex, but multiple stakeholders nationally and locally asked for it, worked with National Grid and its professional team to shape it, changed it significantly through their input, and ultimately supported it wholeheartedly through planning- latterly during a global pandemic.

Stakeholder engagement was at the heart of the project throughout: the trust and collaborative working methodology established are an exemplar for large-scale complex development.
