SNOWDONIA VISUAL IMPACT PROVISION (VIP)

A pioneering landscape enhancement AND major construction project delivered in a National Park/European site. It comprises complex developments, above and below-ground, impacting on terrestrial and marine-estuarine environments; involving diverse permitting legislation/regimes.

Two authorities worked collaboratively and virtually during challenging circumstances. The intensity and energy of stakeholder engagement / public consultation has been exceptional. This enabled unanimous approval of a project that will directly result in the transformation of both the landscape character and visual amenity of a National Park - setting a benchmark for collaborative working, constructive engagement and flexibility in planning for decades to come.
