Executive summary from entrant:
Led by South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, Springfield Village is part of a wider transformative project, the Better Environments Programme. The masterplan has replaced outdated facilities with state-of-the-art facilities, in turn improving inpatient and outpatient services, with the new Trinity and Shaftesbury buildings sitting in Chapel Square at the heart of Springfield Village.
Springfield Village also features new homes, retail spaces, and the 32-acre Springfield Park – the first new park in London since the 2012 Olympics. This will provide lasting social and economic benefits to the area, making the best use of publicly-owned land.
