St Cuthbert’s Garden Village Masterplan Framework

St Cuthbert’s is one of the most ambitious Garden Villages and provides a unique opportunity to rethink how we want to live in the future. Sustainability and creating healthy, connected and resilient communities, shaped by the natural landscape, environmental quality and biodiversity, is at the heart of the Masterplan Framework.

A unique ‘Start with the Park’ approach was taken. In particular, the Masterplan Framework was driven by the integration of existing watercourses and topography into design. This not only creates strong local identity in the new communities, but also future proofs development, maximising resilience to the impacts of climate change.
