THEATR CLWYD

The hugely ambitious refurbishment of Theatr Clwyd is essential for the survival of this listed building, local employment and the provision of arts to north Wales.

A considerable amount of consultation has taken place with the local community, stakeholders, staff, actors and the visiting public during the design process.

By repurposing the existing building, the environmental impact is minimised; stripping back finishes to reveal the original structure, maximising the plan within the existing envelope and creating a new timber foyer. High sustainability standards are exemplar for other arts buildings undergoing transformation. This enterprising project will save this important cultural institution.
