WELLCOME GENOME CAMPUS EXPANSION, HINXTON, SOUTH CAMBRIDGESHIRE
Greater Cambridge Shared Planning service
The Wellcome Genome Campus is a major UK asset, with 2,500 people working on site at the cutting edge of genomics and computational biology.
Committed to promoting economic growth, Greater Cambridge Shared Planning service officers and planning committee members have worked exceptionally and proactively to carefully consider and grant outline planning permission, outside of the current Local Plan process, to expand the campus, accommodating over 4,200 new jobs and homes for workers.
Expansion means the campus can flourish and support the UK economy alongside Wellcome's mission to use science to solve the urgent health challenges facing everyone.
