West Green Place was once a derelict, council-owned piece of brownfield land, and now it is a buzzing community. The new landscaped street has opened up access to the adjacent green space, Downhills Park, and the improved, bespoke, community facilities and new nursery meet the needs of local residents. Of the 126 new homes built, over 75% are affordable, giving local first-time buyers the chance to own a home. This 0.84 ha of land has been completely transformed, enhancing the urban streetscape and better serving the local community.
