York Place

York Place is a hybrid building that delivers 299 mixed-tenure homes, new headquarters for the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and a significant public realm transformation in Battersea. The RAD activities animate the ground level, while three residential buildings rise from a landscaped single-storey podium above. Coda, the striking centrepiece of the development, provides 130 private sale homes for property developer, Avanton. Two mansion blocks flank Coda, providing 169 PRS and discounted PRS homes for affordable housing provider, A2Dominion. Landscaped routes around the development, including a new public promenade on York Road, reconnect this once-overlooked brownfield site to its surroundings.
